In 2006 Dave Andrews was working in Hollywood.  He was both an industry insider and an avid SciFi fan.  He saw that there was less and less satisfaction among the fan base at having only one single network to turn to for SciFi content.

There were many different news networks, movie channels, sports networks, music networks and others.  It seems that just about every ethnic group, every religious organization, every sport, each gender... Just about everyone had many different options for television viewing.  Everyone except SciFi fans.  They had only one option to turn to; an option that they felt was turning its back on them more and more each day.

Dave conceived of a complex, multi-part company that would be able to produce and distribute what the fans wanted and the concept for Syzygy Holdings, Inc. was born.  Syzygy Holdings actually consists of three sub-corporations, Syzygy Productions, Syzygy Studios and The Syzygy Network.

Another trained industry pro, Scott Brody, was the first to join Dave on this quest to bring fellow SciFi fans another option. Over the next several years, more and more people from within the industry and without either joined the Syzygy team or partnered with Syzygy in different ways.

Syzygy Productions is already an active company which has produced over 75 episodes of a SciFi news show, one SciFi books talk show pilot concept, and is currently casting and staffing up for its first scripted drama, Who Am I?

The Syzygy Network will begin as an internet TV channel supporting small, independent SciFi filmmaking by airing all English-language content from SciFi producers around the world, offering producers a 50/50 split from proceeds earned on our internet channel.  The Syzygy Network will grow as a online channel, with the ultimate goal of becoming the second SciFi/Fantasy cable channel in the U.S. and the one and only such channel actually dedicated to Sci-Fi and Fantasy content.

Syzygy Studios is not currently active, but will become a northeast Ohio based production studio offering studio, sound stage, audio and editing suites to encourage local film and television production and help begin to create an entertainment industry infrastructure in northeast Ohio.

Syzygy strongly encourages film/television education and is partnering with the University of Akron and other northeast Ohio educational institutions to encourage, engender and inspire local filmmaking.

Now The Syzygy Network is close to becoming a reality.  For the first time in history, SciFi fans will have a choice.  We will have options.  We will have The Syzygy Network!
