Right now there is what Rob describes as a 'self-opening' gift in the centre of the dining table. It looks like a large firecracker, complete with fuse. Gifts from the kids are in-progress of being made from the contents of the craft box. Monday is a holliday here, nice of them to have one for my birthday.
By the way, Dave, your birthday song is coming out to the tune of the Paul McCartney version for some strange reason.

Time certainly flies by, of all the people I have known online you are one of the first.
(our Enterprise Project days, 6 years ago)
Sir Paul is here in Boston this week, the excitement is building. My son and his wife are going to Thursday show.
Have a great day and enjoy!

There's an IRC channel set up for this place - #scifistudios on the EFNet network (irc.efnet.org). If you have mIRC installed, just click this link (mIRC will open it and you will come to the channel). Maybe I should open #syzygystudios as well...

My older son and his wife went early to Boston and were sitting outside at a cafe having something to eat before the show.
Limo pulls up stopped at the traffic light. Back window rolls down and guess who it was.
Sir Paul had a quick chat with my son then off he went. Neat little story, now back to our regularly scheduled Birthday thread.

(and that really is a super, super awesome thing that happened to your son.)

Thanks for the news re your son and Paul! It was kind of funny, at the Worldcon, people were playing Guitar Hero and a woman near me said she'd wait to play til she could get the Beatles on the game. When I told her about seeing Sir Paul recently at the Halifax concert she got excited and wanted to touch me. She was a first generation fan. In the dealers area, some Beatles cards were some of the few things not SF/F related for sale there.
