Here's a few clips from a never before officially released version of the first TOS pilot:

Scott and I saw the intro with a VERY different version of the "where no man has gone before" monologue. Weird! And different music and everything. It's pretty different.

Sounds like it could be interesting to check out what's up then. I know I'm curious.

The alternate pilot shots were intersting especially the opening. Glad that Shatner narrative was changed.
In other Trek news, Part 2 of Star Trek Phase 2 is out.
I (and Tom)were on set and found it intersting watching David Gerrold's laid back directing style

Do any of you ever go gambling? Play the slots? Have you ever played the Star Trek slot machine? I just played it for the first time yesterday. That thing is a blast! It plays audio clips from the show while you play. It also has a bonus round where you are on the ship during a red alert. The ship is getting rocked during battle & so are you. The machine rocks with the blasts - it's really cool! You play for medals. So many medals & you unlock new games. The next level for me is The Trouble With Tribbles. You can only win medals in bonus rounds, plus with so many medals you earn a new rank. I'm a chief now. Oh, one of the bonus rounds is you beam down to an alien planet, you pick which character you want to be and then you use your phaser to shoot at things surrounding you. It's a lot of fun, if you like to gamble. The good thing is it's only a penny slot so you can play a long time on a little bit of money.

I'd still be scared to let my son near that! Sounds like fun, Jaydin! I used to enjoy playing poker with my siblings and mom, usually for chips. I think sometimes we got pennies in there.

Is it in a local bar or something? I'm not sure we have any slot machines here in Ohio other than in the new casinos, but those aren't close to me.

I had heard of those before I went to Vegas, so I tried to look for them. Didn't find any, though.
Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today - but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all. - Isaac Asimov
There's an IRC channel set up for this place - #scifistudios on the EFNet network (irc.efnet.org). If you have mIRC installed, just click this link (mIRC will open it and you will come to the channel). Maybe I should open #syzygystudios as well...

They are in a casino in Anderson, Indiana. Place called Hoosier Park Racing & Casino. It's about an hour from where I live. I don't very often gamble but i do like those penny slots. That place definitely won me over : they carded me twice!! LOL
