Imo the tabs just make things more organized. I tend to have 20+ pages open at any given time (often a lot more), that gets rather messy without tabs. Sometimes I have a lot of tabs open that kind of belongs in the same category, when that happens I drag them out into their own window. Chrome really has made my life a whole lot easier <.<

Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today - but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all. - Isaac Asimov
There's an IRC channel set up for this place - #scifistudios on the EFNet network (irc.efnet.org). If you have mIRC installed, just click this link (mIRC will open it and you will come to the channel). Maybe I should open #syzygystudios as well...

I've always hated tabs, and instantly change any browser's settings to open windows. Unfortunately, it looks like Chrome is the very first browser that's lost that capability. I always have my browsers set to automatically open new windows. That way I don't accidentally close something I want when I close a window, and I can quickly and easily shift through windows using "alt-tab", which you can't do with tabs. I can't stand tabs.

Dave, you know you can flip through tabs in Chrome with Ctrl+Tab right? Ctrl+Shift+Tab cycles backwards, and Ctrl+W closes the current tab. Also, the browser can reopen whatever tabs you accidentally closed (Ctrl+Shift+T, or if you closed a full window just reopen Chrome and click the "# tabs" link in the "Recently opened" bar at the bottom of that window).
You could also install this:

Works quite well. Perhaps a bit sluggish, but then again I have 63 tabs open right now.

I prefer to work with as little windows open as possible, so hurrah for tabs. Only when I do a specific search, I use another window. Currently I am using my laptop and have a seperate monitor which I have connected to it. This I use for the seperate window.
(Thanks BJ, I had actually never used this Ctrl + TAB to scroll through the tabs).

As I said, I rarely have less than 30 tabs open
How do you think I know the things I know? I crawl the internets for interesting stuff, open them in a new tab as I find them and read them later ^^
